Your mission:

Do you have an idea that could transform mental health and wellbeing for people who are just starting their careers?

Join the mthree Hackathon on, where we challenge you and your peers to think outside the box and explore how AI can revolutionise support for mental health. 

Team prizes (total amount awarded to each team):

  • 1st Place: £500 in vouchers of your choosing
  • 2nd Place: £300 in vouchers of your choosing
  • 3rd Place: £200 in vouchers of your choosing

Who can apply:

This event is open to students aiming to kickstart their tech careers from 2025. 

How it works:

  1. Register your interest: Fill out the registration form by to express your interest in joining the Hackathon.
  2. Shortlisting: If you're shortlisted, you'll be invited to a 15-minute phone call to discuss the event in more detail.
  3. Receive event details: After the call, you will receive additional information about the event, including travel details if you’re attending in person.
  4. Form a team: Hackathon teams must have 3-5 members. If you don’t have a team already, we will assign you to one a week before the event.

This Hackathon is open to any UK university student, that is interested in a tech career.

There is a requirement to attend mthree Canary Wharf offices for the presentations and networking.

mthree are unable to cover costs of travel

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Yes, each team member will need to submit an application and will be required to have a phone call before being accepted.

Each team must be a minimum of 3 individuals and no more than 5.

mthree will support and connect you with others before the day. This will allow you to introduce yourselves before attending.

Each team will comprise of maximum 5 individuals.

Unfortunately we are not able to cover travel costs. 

mthree will introduce you to your team and the full brief a week before. You will have from that week to work on ideas, should you choose to. During the afternoon at mthree office you will have 2 hours to work and finalise your idea before presenting to the judges.

Your place will be offered to someone else. If you are part of a team your place will be offered to someone else.

All work submitted must be the original work of the team and should not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights, patents, or trademarks.

Pre-existing code or libraries are allowed as long as they are open-source or the team has the right to use them.

Teams retain ownership of their intellectual property, but the organisers and sponsors reserve the right to showcase the projects for promotional purposes.

During the evening and presentations mthree will evaluate based on the following criteria: 

  • Innovation
  • Technical Implementation
  • Impact
  • Teamwork
  • Presentation

Decisions of the judging panel are final and binding.

  • Prizes will be awarded based on the final decision of the judges.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash 
  • All winning team members will receive the same amount, there will be a choice of vouchers that each team member can decide. The choices and voucher prize will be emailed to you no later than Friday 08th November.

  • Participants agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration. Personal data will be used solely for the purpose of organising and administering the hackathon.
  • By participating, teams consent to the use of their names, photos, and project details for promotional purposes.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel or modify the hackathon schedule or terms at any time. Participants will be informed of any changes in advance.
